Past, Present, Future Falcons at Indy Track Championships This Weekend
June 19, 2007

SEATTLE (June 19) Seattle Pacific University will be well-represented when the USA Track & Field Championships get underway Wednesday in Indianapolis.

Two-time NCAA Division champion Jessica Pixler will be joined by former decathlon champion Chris Randolph and Jeeni Schantin, a recent transfer recruit.

Pixler (Fr., Sammamish, Wa./Eastlake) will run the 1500 meters in the Juniors division, beginning with a qualifying heat Friday. The final is Saturday. She will be racing for the first time since winning the Div. II title and taking second in the 800, May 26 in Charlotte.

Randolph, now an SPU assistant coach, qualified in the men's decathlon, where he has a mark of 7798 points in his only multi-event meet this season. He will be in action both Friday and Saturday.

Schantin, who will be a junior next year at Seattle Pacific, is entered in the women's javelin Friday. Her best throw at Oregon's Clackamas Community College was 164 feet, 10 inches.
