Expanded GNAC Slate Helps SPU Men Stay Close to Home in '07
June 17, 2007

Complete 2007 Schedule

SEATTLE – A net effect of an expanded Great Northwest Athletic Conference is more Seattle Pacific University men's soccer home games this season.

The Falcons play 11 times at Interbay Stadium this autumn–an increase of three over a year ago–including nine of the final 14 games. SPU hosts Seattle University for Senior Night Nov. 3.

The GNAC men’s soccer membership swelled from three to five teams with the addition of Saint Martin’s and Montana State Billings. Northwest Nazarene will field a team beginning in 2008.

Besides Seattle U., perennial postseason contenders Sonoma State, Grand Canyon, Incarnate Word and UC San Diego will pay visits to Interbay.

Five of the Falcons’ first seven games are on the road, beginning Aug. 23 at Chico State.

Cliff McCrath's 38th season as head coach has the potential to be very special. All-region picks Kellen Rosten, Matt Kemper and Jeff Hallenbeck are among nine returning starters from a side which went 12-7-0, was ranked No. 23 and made the NCAA Division II tournament.
