Pixler Voted GNAC Meet's Most Outstanding Women's Performer
May 8, 2007

SEATTLE (May 8) -- Seattle Pacific University's Jessica Pixler has been voted the outstanding female performer from last weekend's Great Northwest Athletic Conference outdoor track and field championships.

Pixler (Fr., Sammamish, Wa./Eastlake) won three running events -- the first athlete in meet history to accomplish that feat -- in leading the Falcons to their second straight team title and their third in six years. SPU's 57.5 point margin of victory over second-place Western Oregon was the largest in meet history.

Pixler set meet records in the 800 and 3000 meters and also won the 1500. She later ran a leg of the 1600 relay which placed second.

Central Washington thrower Evan Ruud was named the outstanding male athlete.
