Gig Harbor Vaulter, King's Twins Sign With SPU

SEATTLE (May 2) ­ Melissa Peaslee of Gig Harbor High School and twins Evan and Jeff Dull of King's High School in Shoreline have signed national letters of intent tom compete for Seattle Pacific University next season in track and field.

Peaslee is the No. 2-ranked pole-vaulter in the state with a best clearance of 11 feet, 7 inches. She won last week's Lake Washington High School Invitational at 11-6.

Jeff Dull ranks among the state 1A top four leaders from 800 to 3200 meters. He finished third in the state cross country championships.

Evan Dull is listed fifth in both the 800 and 1600, and was eighth at state last fall when King's was the state runner-up.

Seattle Pacific competes at the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championships beginning Friday in Bellingham.
