SEATTLE (May 2) Picking up her second
major in award in as many days, Seattle Pacific University's Sarah
Sullivan was named the Division II Gymnast of the Year by the
National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches.
Sullivan (Sr., Salem, Or./Sprague), who
received an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Tuesday, keeps the
gymnast of the year award at SPU. A year ago, Jaynie Reynolds was
honored.
Sullivan was Mountain Pacific Sports Federation
champion on balance beam and led the Falcons to second place at
the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships last month. She took
third on floor, fifth on vault and seventh in all-around. In
addition to winning the MPSF title on beam, Sullivan was runner-up
on vault, floor and all-around.
The Falcons' Senior Woman Administrator, Erin
O'Connell, was voted NACGC Div. II administrator of the year.
