MONMOUTH, Ore. (Apr. 24) ­ Kelsey Cooley and Justin Felt, both of Seattle Pacific University, finished fourth in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference heptathlon and decathlon, respectively, Tuesday at MacArthur Field.

Cooley (Jr., Missoula, Mt.), the conference runner-up a year ago and hobbled this season by foot injuries, cobbled together 4074 points­more than 800 short of her career best. Western Oregon's Jacque Postlewait won with 4529 and Northwest Nazarene's Amanda Merrell was second with 4488.

Standing second after the first day, Felt (Fr., Eugene, Or./Churchill) fell short of his season-best marks in four of the final five events and totaled 5568 points. Zeb Udell of Western Oregon won easily with 6358.

The rest of the Falcons will return to competition Friday at the Western Washington Twilight in Bellingham.
