EUGENE, Ore. (Apr. 20) For the first time in 10 races, Seattle Pacific University's Jessica Pixler was beaten on the track but not without running the fastest time among NCAA Division II milers.

Pixler (Fr., Sammamish, Wa./Eastlake) took third place in the featured 1500-meter flight of the Oregon Invitational Friday night at Hayward Field. She ran it in 4 minutes, 19.81 seconds.

Former Olympian and 800 national champion Nicole Teter, now with Oregon Track Club, won in 4:14.83. Megan Metcalfe, a past NCAA 5000 winner at West Virginia, was runner-up in 4:16.28.
