SPU Women's Soccer Welcomes WSU Transfer
April 18, 2007

SEATTLE (Apr. 18) Alex Butler has transferred to Seattle Pacific University from Washington State and has joined the women's soccer program for spring training.

Butler, a defender who will be a junior next season, played two years for the Cougars, appearing in nine games last fall. She missed all but two games of the 2005 season with an ankle injury.

During her senior year at Gonzaga Prep in Spokane, Butler was named offensive MVP of the Greater Spokane League. The Bullpups finished third in the state 4A tournament and she was a member of the national champion Spokane Shadow club.

Seattle Pacific was 17-5-0 last season and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division II tournament under Coach Chuck Sekyra.
