Falcon Pair Huss And Sullivan Contend in NCAA Gymnastics West Regional
April 14, 2007

Berkeley, Ca. (Apr. 14)—Sarah Sullivan and Debra Huss competed as all-arounders to represent Seattle Pacific University in the NCAA Gymnastics West Regional Championship Saturday night held in University of California’s Haas Pavilion.

Sullivan (Sr., Salem, Or./Sprague) posted a 38.600 in the all-around competition placing 15th overall. She was strong on all four events and scored her highest on vault (9.700) followed by floor exercise (9.675).

Huss (Sr., Orangevale, Ca./Bella Vista) made her second NCAA West Regional appearance and managed a 9.700 on both floor exercise and bars. After a rough landing on vault (9.025), Huss chose to refrain from balance beam as a precautionary measure in preparation for the week ahead.

The team competition was claimed by Utah State (197.325) and Nebraska (196.650). These two teams move on to the national championship in Salt Lake City.

Huss and Sullivan return home and join the Falcon flock in preparing for the USA Gymnastics National Championships held in Seattle Pacific’s Royal Brougham Pavilion Apr. 19-21.
