SEATTLE (Apr. 6) Seattle Pacific
Universitys Dustin Bremerman has been selected for the
inaugural Collegiate Basketball Invitational, a 60-player combine
for mens basketball players from NCAA Division II and III
and the NAIA.
The College Basketball Invitational will be
held Apr. 19-21 in Wadsworth, Ohio. Six teams of 10 players will
play a double-elimination tournament. There will be a championship
game followed by the nationally-televised CBI All-star Game Apr.
21.
Bremerman (Sr., 6-4, Yakima, Wa./Eisenhower)
was selected by a 12-member committee consisting of four coaches
each from NCAA II and III and the NAIA. The events objective
is to provide opportunities for professional teams and agents to
evaluate players from non-Division I programs.
Last month, Bremerman played in the NCAA
Division II/NABC All-Star Game. He finished his career as Seattle
Pacifics No. 2 career scorer, and averaged 18.98 points in
his final season. Bremerman was named All-America by both the NABC
and Division 2 Bulletin.
