SEATTLE (Mar. 19) For the second week in
a row, Seattle Pacific Universitys Jessica Pixler was named
womens track and field co-athlete of the week in the Great
Northwest Athletic Conference.
Pixler (Fr., Sammamish, Wa./Eastlake) crushed
the GNAC record and established a NCAA automatic qualifying time
in winning the 3000 meters at the Washington Preview. She was
clocked in a time of 9:37.41--15.5 seconds better than the
previous conference record. It was also the fastest 3000 time by a
SPU athlete in 15 years.
The Falcons send a team to Los Angeles and the
Trojan Invitational Saturday.
