SEATTLE (Mar. 15) Seattle Pacific
University's Dustin Bremerman has been chosen to play for the West
in the second annual National Association of Basketball
Coaches/NCAA Division II All-Star Game.
Bremerman (Sr., 6-4, Yakima, Wa./Eisenhower), a
two-time all-region selection, is among 20 seniors who will
showcase their talents during the Elite Eight festivities in
Springfield, Mass. The game will be Mar. 23 at 4 p.m. PDT in the
Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
In his final season, Bremerman led the Falcons
in scoring (18.9) and three-pointers (70), and finished No. 2 for
his career in both categories. He shared player of the year honors
in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
Joining him from the West Region are Kevin
Johnson of Humboldt State and Zack Whiting of Chaminade. The West
team is also comprised of athletes from the Great Lakes, North
Central and South Central regions of Div. II.
In the inaugural Division II All-Star Game, the
West defeated the East, 134-122, behind the 25 points of Western
Washington's Ryan Diggs, the co-MVP.
