SEATTLE (Feb. 26) ­ Jessica Pixler of Seattle Pacific University was selected as female co-athlete of the week for track and field in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.

Pixler (Fr., Sammamish, Wa./Eastlake) was a part of four victories, including three at the GNAC indoor championships and two of the top times in the nation. She set GNAC meet records in the 800 meters (2:11.52) and mile (4:54.53) and ran on the winning distance medley relay team. Her 800 time ranks No. 3 on the SPU indoor all-time list and No. 4 in nation.

At the GNAC Last Chance, she helped the DMR team set school and conference records in the No. 2 qualifying time of 11:45.92 in NCAA Division II.

Pixler and the rest of the Falcon qualifiers will compete Mar. 9-10 in Boston.
