Complete Box Score

SEATTLE (Feb. 22) Kelsey Hill scored nine of her 15 points in the first half and Jackie Hollands finished with 19 as Seattle Pacific University stayed atop the Great Northwest Athletic Conference with a 92-48 win over Western Oregon Thursday night at Brougham Pavilion.

It was the seventh straight home victory for the Falcons (10-3, 17-7), who have won 67 of their last 69 home GNAC games. The 44-point margin equaled the largest of the season.

In its final home game Saturday, SPU will host Western Washington, which began the week tied with Alaska Anchorage for second in the conference.

The Falcons seized control by reeling off 16 unanswered points midway through the first period. Hill (So., 6-2, Portland, Or./Portland Christian) scored seven points and Autumn Fielding (Sr., 5-9, Kennewick, Wa.) had five, including a three-pointer, as SPU went in front, 32-14.

Seattle Pacific shot 57 percent from the floor (34-61), its best in a GNAC game. Hill and Hollands each made 7 of 9 field goals, with Hollands connecting on 4 of 6 three-pointers.

Hill also grabbed 10 rebounds and Beth Christensen (Jr., 5-5, Enumclaw, Wa.) passed for a season-best 10 assists. Hollands made four of her team's season-high 22 steals.

Western Oregon (2-11, 3-21) lost the ball 27 times in losing its seventh in a row. The Wolves actually made more three-pointers (9) than field goals inside the arc (8) but shot just 31 percent.

The Wolves' Leada Berkey, the conference scoring leader, was held eight points under average, finishing with 13 and seven rebounds.
