Seattle Pacific Men Stay Unbeaten at Home Behind Will's 24 Points
February 1, 2007

Complete Box Score

SEATTLE (Feb. 1) Behind the season-high 24 points of Rob Will, Seattle Pacific University won its 12th in a row at home, 88-70 over Northwest Nazarene in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference game Thursday night at Brougham Pavilion.

The Falcons (6-3, 13-7) never trailed and seized control early in the second half to win their 27th straight when shooting at least 50 percent from the field. They remain second in the GNAC standings, behind Saint Martin's, which played a late game at Alaska Fairbanks.

Dustin Bremerman (Sr., 6-4, Yakima, Wa./Eisenhower) added 17 points and Casey Reed (So., 6-5, Canby, Or.) came off the bench in relief of Will for a season-best 12.

Northwest Nazarene (2-6, 7-12) dropped its fifth in the last six outings. Clift Marcus topped the Crusaders with 19 and Justin Parnell had 18.

Seattle Pacific started strong behind Will (Jr., 6-10, Seattle, Wa./O'Dea), who scored on the game's first two possessions and later converted inside again for a 13-2 lead after just 4 minutes. SPU led by 15 at the break and a spurt of seven straight points early in the second half boosted the advantage to 21 points.

Will drove baseline for a dunk to start the sequence, which included a trey by Bremerman and a steal and dunk by JoJay Jackson (Jr., 6-5, Fairfield, Ca.).

The Falcons outscored the Crusaders 50-24 in the paint. Playing 22 minutes, Will made 10 of 14 field goals, enabling his team to hit 54 percent (33-61).

NNU shot 50 percent (26-52), including 10 of 21 three-pointers but committed 16 turnovers to the Falcons' season-low six.

SPU, now 9-0 at home this season, hosts Seattle University in its homecoming game Saturday at 3:30.
