Seattle Pacific Men Reach Fourth in Nation, Meet No. 3 During Weekend
December 12, 2006

SEATTLE (Dec. 12) ­ Three of the top teams in NCAA Division II men's basketball will converge upon Las Vegas this weekend, with the opening game of the High Desert Classic featuring 4th-ranked Seattle Pacific University and No. 3 Central Missouri.

The Falcons (4-1) moved up two spots despite being idle since Dec. 2. Central Missouri, which is undefeated going into Friday's game, jumped from No. 5. SPU will play Cal State San Bernardino tonight (Dec. 12).

Florida's Rollins is now 15th and meets SPU Saturday.

Seattle Pacific, which is tied for No. 4 with Bentley of Massachusetts, was ranked as high as No. 3 last season.

Defending national champion Winona State (Minn.) again received each of the first-place votes in the NABC coaches poll.
