SEATTLE (Dec. 5) In the midst of its
longest inactive stretch this men's basketball season, Seattle
Pacific University has jumped to No. 6 in the NCAA Division II
national coaches poll.
The Falcons (4-1) are part of a tightly-packed
cluster, with only 11 points separating places 4-7. Among those
teams is Central Missouri, which SPU meets Dec. 15 in Las Vegas.
Seattle Pacific moved up three spots from No. 9
a week ago. It defeated BYU Hawaii, now the No. 19 team, at home
last week.
Defending national champion Winona State
(Minn.) again received each of the first-place votes.
