Falcons' Von Moos Makes All-America in Volleyball
November 21, 2006

SEATTLE (Nov. 21) Jenna Von Moos has been voted to AVCA All-America third team, becoming just the second Seattle Pacific University volleyball player to be so honored.

Von Moos (Sr., Stanwood, Wa.) had earlier been named the player of the year in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference and had made the all-Pacific Region team. A setter, she was eighth in NCAA Division II assists, and broke SPU records for season average (13.09) and career total.

The only previous volleyball All-American for the Falcons was Nami Teramae, who was chosen to the first team in 1995.

Receiving honorable mention from the AVCA was Seattle Pacific's Alyssa Given (Jr., Salinas, Ca./Notre Dame).

The only other GNAC team represented on the All-America team was Western Washington libero Courtney Schneider, who also made the third team.

The Falcons (24-3) finished 18th in the final AVCA coaches poll.
