SEATTLE (Nov. 2) ­ Seattle Pacific University women's soccer players Claire Grubbs and Mollie Taylor have been voted ESPN The Magazine CoSIDA College Division Academic All-District 8.

Grubbs (So., Sterling, Va./PotomacFalls), central defender and education major with a 3.97 grade point average, was selected to the first team and now advances to the Academic All-America ballot.

Taylor (Sr, Westlake Village, Ca./Oaks Christian), also a defender, is a double major in biology and theology. She has a 3.84 GPA and made the second team.

Both had made the academic all-GNAC team earlier this week.
