SEATTLE (Nov. 1) A dozen members of the
Seattle Pacific University cross country men's and women's teams
have made the Great Northwest Athletic Conference's academic
all-star selection.
The Falcons' Eddie Strickler (Sr., Richland,
Wa.) and James Rosser (Sr., Seattle, Wa./Highline) were honored
for the third year in a row.
From the SPU women's team, Kaitlin Rohde (Jr.,
Bellingham, Wa./Mt. Baker), Karin Rohde (Jr., Bellingham, Wa./Mt.
Baker) and Megan Wrightman (So., Bend, Or.) were repeat
selections.
To be eligible for the academic team,
student-athletes must have a minimum grade point average of 3.20
and be in at least their second year of competition at their
university.
Seattle Pacific competes at the NCAA Division
II West Regional Saturday in Oroville, Calif.
