SEATTLE (Oct. 23) ­Seattle Pacific University's James Coggan was named the men's soccer player of the week in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference for the second time this season.

Coggan (Jr., San Jose, Ca./Valley Christian) scored the game-winning goal on a second-half free kick in the Falcons' 3-1 win over Western Washington. Coggan totaled five shots for the two games last week and now has six goals altogether.

SPU (12-4-0) plays at Incarnate Word in San Antonio Tuesday night.
