MONMOUTH, Or. (Oct. 14) - Alyssa Given tied a school record with 30 kills to lead Seattle Pacific to its 23rd straight conference victory, a 3-1 win over host Western Oregon in Great Northwest Athletic Conference volleyball action Saturday night.

Given's 30 kills were also a new career best, the most by a conference player this season and tied for the fourth most in GNAC history. Given (Jr., 5-10, Salinas, Ca./Notre Dame) also had 19 digs, three blocks and a .379 hitting percentage.

The Falcons (12-0 GNAC, 20-2), ranked No. 15 in NCAA II, won their 14th straight match with scores of 39-17, 29-31, 30-28 and 30-19. The Wolves (4-7 GNAC, 6-15) lost for just the second time at home this season.

Shelby Gihring (Sr., 5-10, Kent, Wa./Kentlake) added 13 kills and five digs in the victory for the Falcons. Rachel Biornstad (Jr., 6-0, Kent, Wa./Kentlake) chipped in with 10 kills and three blocks.

Western Oregon's Shakira Jenkins had 15 kills, three block assists and hit .306 in the loss. Keyanna Jenkins added 10 kills and eight digs.

SPU setter Jenna Von Moos (Sr., 5-10, Stanwood, Wa.) led all players with 57 assists and added nine digs. Jessica Bettencourt (Fr., 6-0, South Lake Tahoe, Ca.) had eight kills, and Tiffany Butac (Sr., 5-2, Pearl City, Hi./Hawaii Baptist) led all players with 26 digs.

The Falcons tallied a .226 hitting percentage and six blocks. Western Oregon hit .113 as a team.

The Falcons open a three-match home stand next Saturday with a GNAC contest against Saint Martins at 7:00 p.m.
