PHOENIX (Oct. 8) It remains uncertain whether any of the six Seattle Pacific University men's soccer players involved in a two-car collision Saturday will play in the Falcons' next game.

Coach Cliff McCrath said Sunday that the availability of the players would be determined Monday, one day before a game at Grand Canyon University.

James Coggan (Jr., San Jose, Ca./Valley Christian), Nate Elmenhurst (Jr., Bothell, Wa./Woodinville), Jono Henness (So., Casa Grande, Az.), Drew Macha (Jr., Eugene, Or./Marist), Michael Morris (Sr., Bothell, Wa./Blanchet) and Andy Willis (Sr., Gig Harbor, Wa.) all spent at least four hours being evaluated at St. Joseph's Hospital following the accident.

McCrath said all were still experiencing stiffness and soreness, and some had headaches.

Coggan and Morris are the team's top two scorers and, along with Willis and Macha, have started the majority of games. The Falcons brought 18 players on the trip.

At approximately 10:45 Saturday morning, a car traveling at a high rate of speed crashed into the driver's side of the SUV driven by Morris. It was the third of four rental vehicles en route to a team meal and all had begun proceeding into an intersection following a green light.

A second car was also struck and the 19-year-old driver was hospitalized. His condition is unknown.

Morris and Henness were taken by ambulance to the hospital. The other four players joined them in the emergency room later. By Saturday evening, all had been examined and discharged, but that night's game with Hawaii Pacific was cancelled.
