SEATTLE (Oct. 3) Rising to its best
ranking of the year, Seattle Pacific University is now tied for
No. 6 among men's soccer programs in NCAA Division II.
Winners of six straight, the Falcons (9-2-0)
moved two more spots and are tied with South Carolina Upstate in
the NSCAA/adidas preseason rankings.
SPU remained No. 1 slot in the Far West Region,
ahead of Seattle University and Cal State Dominguez Hills.
Defending national champion Fort Lewis (Co.)
lost for the first time in 34 games and was replaced at No. 1 by
Florida's Lynn.
