Seattle Pacific Rises to All-Time High of 15th in National Volleyball Poll
October 2, 2006

SEATTLE (Oct. 2) -- As expected, Seattle Pacific University made a move in the NCAA Division II volleyball rankings this week, rising three spots to an all-time high of No. 15.

The Falcons (16-2) are coming off their 10th consecutive victory, 3-1 over then-No. 15 Central Washington on the road. The Wildcats dropped back to 17th.

The previous best rating for SPU in the CSTV/AVCA coaches top 25 was 16th a year ago.

Michigan's Grand Valley State replaced Tampa as the nation's No. 1 team. The highest ranked of the seven Pacific Region teams is undefeated Cal State Bernardino at sixth.

SPU begins a four-match home stand Thursday night versus Northwest Nazarene.
