SEATTLE (Oct. 2) -- As expected, Seattle
Pacific University made a move in the NCAA Division II volleyball
rankings this week, rising three spots to an all-time high of No.
15.
The Falcons (16-2) are coming off their 10th
consecutive victory, 3-1 over then-No. 15 Central Washington on
the road. The Wildcats dropped back to 17th.
The previous best rating for SPU in the
CSTV/AVCA coaches top 25 was 16th a year ago.
Michigan's Grand Valley State replaced Tampa as
the nation's No. 1 team. The highest ranked of the seven Pacific
Region teams is undefeated Cal State Bernardino at sixth.
SPU begins a four-match home stand Thursday
night versus Northwest Nazarene.
