SPU President Eaton
officially took receipt of the GNAC all-sport and all-academic

Seattle Pacific swept the top two awards in the
Great Northwest Athletic Conference during the 2005-06 season --
the Academic All-Sports title and the All-Sports Team
Championship. To write the final chapter on these accomplishments,
trophies were presented to SPU President Dr. Philip W. Eaton
Tuesday night, September 26.
The Falcons posted the best team grade point
averages in five different sports. SPU also won the men's academic
title for the fifth year in a row and took the women's academic
title for the first time.
Seattle Pacific University, which won a
conference-record six team titles in the 2005-06 academic year,
claimed its first Great Northwest Athletic Conference All-Sports
Team Championship. The Falcons edged defending champion Western
Washington 157-154, ending the Vikings' four-year reign. SPU also
won its third consecutive women's all-sports title, finishing 20
points ahead of runner-up Central Washington. Western Washington
won the men's all-sports title for the fifth consecutive year; SPU
took third. |
