Still 18th, Falcons Look to Leapfrog in National Volleyball Poll
September 26, 2006

SEATTLE (Sept. 26) Stuck at No. 18 in the CSTV/AVCA volleyball rankings for NCAA Division II, Seattle Pacific University takes matters into its own hands this week.

SPU (14-2) travels to Ellensburg to face No. 15 Central Washington Saturday night in a battle of last season's Great Northwest Athletic Conference co-champions.

Despite losses by several teams ranked ahead of them, including Central, the Falcons did not budge in the coaches poll.

Tampa remained No. 1 ranking, earning 34 of 36 first-place votes.

Undefeated Cal State San Bernardino is the top team from the Pacific at No. 7.
