SEATTLE (Sept. 26) Seattle Pacific
University has risento a season-best men's soccer national ranking
of No. 8 in NCAA Division II.
Winners of five straight, the Falcons (8-2-0)
jumped eight spots from No. 16. They had been as high as No. 9 in
the NSCAA/adidas preseason rankings.
SPU also took over the No. 1 slot in the Far
West Region. Seattle University and Cal State Dominguez Hills are
ranked 16th and 24th, respectively, in the nation.
Defending national champion Fort Lewis (Co.)
reclaimed the No. 1 spot in the poll.
