SEATTLE (Sept. 11) -- Jessica Pixler of Seattle Pacific University was named the co-runner of the week in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference following her debut victory.

A day after returning from California and a road trip with the women's soccer team, Pixler (Fr., Sammamish, WA./Eastlake) led SPU to the Emerald City Invitational team title. She finished first in a 6,000-meter time of 22:31­a minute ahead of the next collegian.

The 25th-ranked Falcons compete at the Sundodger Invitational Saturday at West Seattle's Lincoln Park.
