SEATTLE (Sept. 5) A tumultuous week in
the NCAA Division II men's soccer rankings sent Seattle Pacific
University down the ladder to No. 22 this week.
The Falcons (3-1-0), who had been No. 9 in the
preseason NSCAA/adidas coaches poll, dropped 14 spots, along with
the team that defeated them, Cal State Dominguez Hills. The Toros
are now No. 14.
Only 13 teams remain for the preseason rankings
and defending national champion Fort Lewis (Co.) was replaced at
No. 1 by Franklin Pierce (NH).
