Complete Box Score

ROHNERT PARK, Ca. (Sept. 1)--Erica Prado and Amber DeSeriere scored a pair of goals late in the second half as Cal State Los Angeles dealt No. 2-ranked Seattle Pacific University a 2-0 defeat in a non-conference women's soccer game Friday afternoon at the Seawolf Classic soccer tournament in Rohnert Park.

The loss at the hands of the Golden Eagles ended a 60 game (55-0-5) regular season unbeaten streak for the Falcons (3-1) that spanned three seasons. Seattle Pacific has been to the NCAA Tournament the last three years and played in the NCAA championship match in 2005.

Prado beat Seattle Pacific keeper Katie Ruggles (Sr., Eugene, Or./South Eugene) to the right post from 20 yards for the game-winner. Prado's strike came after 71 scoreless minutes in which both teams traded multiple shots. Amanda Mathews was credited with an assist on Prado's goal (71:48).

DeSeriere finalized match scoring at 74:59 on a penalty kick. The Falcons missed a scoring opportunity when they failed to convert a penalty kick in the first half.

Seattle Pacific out-shot Cal State L.A. 19-10, and earned nine corner kicks to the Golden Eagles' four. Ruggles finished the match with three saves while Cal State L.A.'s Coca Reyna had 10. Fouls were dead even at nine apiece.
