2006-07 Schedule
SEATTLE (Sept. 1) As it prepares to
defend its West Regional men's basketball championship, Seattle
Pacific University will get a good look at much of the competition
to start the 2006-07 season.
The Falcons, who advanced to the semifinals of
the NCAA Division II tournament last spring, will play their first
six non-conference games against other contenders from throughout
the West.
Seattle Pacific opens the regular at home Nov.
17-18, hosting Cal State L.A. and Cal Poly Pomona in the Sodexho
Tip-Off Classic. Over the Thanksgiving holiday, SPU meets both UC
San Diego and Cal State Dominguez Hills in Las Vegas. The Falcons
hosts BYU Hawaii and visits Cal State San Bernardino before
another trip to Vegas before Christmas.
The Great Northwest Athletic Conference
campaign begins Jan. 4 at Alaska Anchorage. Three startersDustin
Bremerman, Robbie Will and Drew Matzenare back this season.
Coach Jeff Hironaka expects to have his
preseason dates finalized by late September.
