Former Idaho, 'Nova Coach Joins Women's Soccer Staff
July 3, 2006

SEATTLE (July 3) Arby Busey, formerly a head coach at Idaho, has joined the Seattle Pacific University women's soccer staff as an assistant to Chuck Sekyra.

Following two years as an assistant, Busey was elevated to Idaho's head coach in 2002 and served in that capacity for three seasons. Last season Busey was the top assistant to head coach Ann Clifton at Villanova, his alma mater.

Busey also has coached extensively in the club and ODP ranks. He was a staff coach for the Region IV ODP team from 2001-2004, and also coached the Idaho state girls team (2003-05) and was an assistant for the Washington boys team.

Busey played varsity soccer for Villanova, and graduated in 1993. He then went on to begin his coaching career at Mercer Island High School as an assistant varsity coach and head junior varsity coach from 1994-1998. He is now a Mercer Island resident.

Sekyra's staff also includes returnees Kevin Blokker and Chalise Baysa. The Falcons were national runners-up in NCAA Division II in 2005.
