2006 Schedule
SEATTLE (June 23) It's been an annual rite of
passage for the Seattle Pacific University men's soccer program,
and once again in 2006 the Falcons will spend the majority of the
early season on the road.
Two key contests will come at home early on, as
SPU hosts both Chico State and Cal State Dominguez Hills Aug. 26
and 29. The latter game is a rematch of last year's second-round
playoff game won by the Toros in overtime. After that it's a lot
of flying and driving.
Over a two-week stretch from Sept. 2-16,
Seattle Pacific plays six in a row on the road, beginning with
Sonoma State. The final game is the Great Northwest Athletic
Conference opener at Western Washington. Later, in October, the
team travels to Colorado Springs, Phoenix and San Antonio.
For the second consecutive year, senior night
will be celebrated before the crosstown clash with Seattle
University Oct. 27. Among the other eight Interbay Stadium
contests are non-league bouts with Grand Canyon and Regis (Co.).
Cliff McCrath's 37th season as head coach has
the potential to be very special. All-region picks Kellen Rosten,
Matt Kamper and Andy Willis are among nine returning starters from
a side which went 15-3-3 and was ranked No. 7 in the final 2005
national poll.
