June 7, 2006

SEATTLE (June 7) Brandon Larrieu, an all-Seamount League guard from Franklin Pierce High School, has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Seattle Pacific University next season.

The 5-foot-10 Larrieu, a Puyallup, Wash., resident, was voted the MVP of the Seamount's Pierce Division after averaging 18.7 points as a senior. He led the Cardinals in scoring each of his three varsity seasons. Franklin Pierce was 21-6 and advanced to the state 3A quarterfinals.

Larrieu averaged 19.7 points in the state tournament and scored 14 points in for the state 3A all-stars' victory over the 4A team two months ago.

Seattle Pacific is coming off a semifinal appearance in the NCAA Division II Elite Eight. The Falcons finished 26-6 and won both the Great Northwest Athletic Conference and the West Region championships.
