SEATTLE (June 7) Brandon Larrieu, an
all-Seamount League guard from Franklin Pierce High School, has
signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Seattle
Pacific University next season.
The 5-foot-10 Larrieu, a Puyallup, Wash.,
resident, was voted the MVP of the Seamount's Pierce Division
after averaging 18.7 points as a senior. He led the Cardinals in
scoring each of his three varsity seasons. Franklin Pierce was
21-6 and advanced to the state 3A quarterfinals.
Larrieu averaged 19.7 points in the state
tournament and scored 14 points in for the state 3A all-stars'
victory over the 4A team two months ago.
Seattle Pacific is coming off a semifinal
appearance in the NCAA Division II Elite Eight. The Falcons
finished 26-6 and won both the Great Northwest Athletic Conference
and the West Region championships.
