SEATTLE (June 1) ­ Linda Blake of Seattle Pacific University track and field program has been voted to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VIII team for the third year in a row.

Blake (Sr., Richland, Wa.) is now a finalist for the Academic All-America team, to be announced later this month.

A chemistry major with a 3.94 GPA, Blake finished eighth in the heptathlon at the NCAA Championships last week. She finished third in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference heptathlon after winning the 60 hurdles indoor crown. Her 24 points across five events helped SPU win the GNAC outdoor title for the first time in four years.
