SEATTLE (May 8) ­ Robin DeJong, a standout middle from Goleta, Calif., has signed a national letter of intent to play volleyball for Seattle Pacific University next season.

DeJong, a 5-foot-10 senior at Dos Peublos High School, is the second recruit for Seattle Pacific. After leading the Chargers in blocks, she was voted both first team all-Channel League and all-Santa Barbara County. Dos Peublos won the Channel League and advanced to the CIF (California Interscholastic Federation) semifinals.

Seattle Pacific is coming off a 22-6 record and co-championship of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. Coach Chris Johnson loses two seniors from a squad which reached the NCAA Division II tournament and was ranked No. 18 in the final coaches poll.
