SEATTLE (Apr. 17) Jaynie Reynolds of
Seattle Pacific University completed her career with three more
awards, including the Division II Athlete of the Year from the
National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches.
Reynolds (Sr., White Rock, B.C./Marriot) was
also chosen the Senior Athlete of the Year by USA Gymnastics and
made second team All-America on the uneven bars. Reynolds was the
regular season all-around leader and helped the Falcons win the
first conference championship since 1998.
Sarah Sullivan (Jr., Salem, Or./Sprague) was
named second team All-America on balance beam. Earlier Sullivan
was a first team All-America in all-around and also first team on
vault, along with Kristin Bryant (Jr., Anchorage, Ak., West
Anchorage), of SPU.
The Falcons' Kathy Siwek was voted NACGC Div.
II coach of the year.
