Sullivan And Bryant Advance To USAG Individual Finals

ITHACA, N.Y. (Apr. 13) – Sarah Sullivan and Kristin Bryant qualified for the individual event finals at the USA Gymnastics National Championships Thursday evening at Teagle Gymnasium.

Bryant (Jr., Anchorage, Ak.) scored 9.700 on vault to finish fifth and Sullivan (Jr., Salem, Or.) scored 9.675 to place eighth. As top-eight finishers in the team prelims, both will compete Saturday night at the individual event finals. Sullivan, who was named all-America on vault in 2004 and floor in 2005, accumulated 38.00 points in the all-around to finish third in the meet.

The top four teams advanced to Friday night’s team finals. UC Davis finished first with 191.475 points, followed by Texas Woman’s (1901.250), Cornell (190.700) and William & Mary (190.275). Seattle Pacific scored 188.200 points and did not advance to Friday’s team finals.
