Stanford, Ca. (Apr. 8) Jaynie Reynolds
scored a 36.950 in the all-around competition to represent Seattle
Pacific University at the NCAA West Regional Saturday night at
Stanford Universitys Maples Pavilion.
Reynolds (Sr. White Rock, B.C.) placed 10th in
the all-around as an at-large competitor. Her best events of the
night were beam (9.600) and floor exercise (9.450).
Alabama led the team competition with 196.475
points. Oregon State was second (195.800), followed by Stanford
(195.275), San Jose State (192.375), Sacramento State (192.050)
and Boise State (189.850)
The Cardinals Tabitha Yim won the
all-around after accumulating 39.525 points. Tasha Smith of OSU
finished second in the meet (39.375) and Stanfords Natalie
Foley and Alabamas Ashley Miles tied for third (39.225).
Reynolds and the Falcons (5-14) are in
preparation for the USA Gymnastics Championships this Thursday
through Saturday (Apr. 13-15) in Ithaca, N.Y.
