SEATTLE (Apr. 6) ­ Members of the Seattle Pacific University men's basketball and women's soccer teams will be honored during pregame festivities at upcoming Seattle Mariners baseball games at Safeco Field.

Jeff Hironaka, the basketball head coach, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Friday night's (Apr. 7) game between the M's and Oakland. The SPU squad which won the NCAA West Region and advanced to the national semifinals will be introduced beforehand.

At the Apr. 25 game with the defending World Series champion Chicago White Sox, the Seattle Pacific women's soccer team will draw the spotlight. The Falcons were NCAA runners-up and coach Chuck Sekyra will perform ceremonial first pitch honors.
