VANCOUVER, Wash. (Apr. 1) For the second
year in a row, bad weather marred crew racing at the NCRC
Invitational, with the Seattle Pacific University women's varsity
eight the only boat to complete an event Saturday.
The Falcons finished fourth in the Division II
heat. Western Washington won in 8 minutes, 3 seconds, followed by
UC San Diego, Humboldt State and SPU.
High winds and rough water forced officials to
cancel the other races in which Seattle Pacific boats were
entered.
Next Saturday the crews are entered in Eugene's
Covered Bridge Regatta.
