STANFORD, Calif. (Apr. 1) Karin Rohde
broke her own Seattle Pacific University record for the
steeplechase and clocked the No. 3 time in the nation this season
at the Stanford Invitational track and field meet Saturday.
Rohde (So., Bellingham, Wa./Mount Baker)
completed the 3000 meters in 11 minutes, 5.85 seconds to improve
her own SPU mark by nearly 10 seconds and ranks No. 2 all-time in
the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. She finished 13th overall
and teammate Brandi McCoy (Sr., Richland, Wa.) was 16th in
11:17.02.
In the men's steeple, Doug Gibson (Jr., Yakima,
Wa./Riverside Christian) was 15th in 9:38.11.
