Falcons Finish 22nd in Women's Hoop Rankings

SEATTLE (Mar. 28) Returning to the women's basketball rankings after a two-month absence, Seattle Pacific University finished at No. 22 in the USA TODAY/ESPN women's basketball coaches poll.

Seattle Pacific (24-6) upset UC San Diego and Western Washington in the NCAA Division II West Regional to earn a place among the top 25. The Falcons had dropped out of the rankings Jan. 10 but won 17 of their final 19 games.

National champion Grand Valley State ended the season at No. 1, followed by American International, Saint Cloud State and West champion Chico State.
