SEATTLE (Mar. 18) Seattle Pacific University's Chris Randolph won three events and the Falcons picked up two more provisional qualifiers at the Washington Preview track and field meet Saturday at Husky Stadium.

The defending NCAA Division II champion in the decathlon, Randolph (Sr., Lone Tree, Co.) set personal records in winning the 400 meters (48.72), 110 hurdles (15.06) and discus (155-1).

The 400 time ranks No. 2 all-time at SPUjust .08 off the record and Randolph's hurdle and discus marks are both No. 4.

Making the national qualifying list were pole vaulter Amy Harris (Sr., Corvallis, Or.) and steeplechaser Doug Gibson (Jr., Yakima, Wa./Riverside Christian). Harris took second place at 11-7 3/4. Gibson ran third in a PR of 9:24.85.

In the women's steeple, Brandi McCoy (Sr., Richland, Wa.) finished second in an improved qualifying mark of 11:16.05.

Seattle Pacific's other victories came from Molly Barnes (Jr., Burien, Wa./Highline) in the javelin (127-8) and the women's 1600 relay (4:08.17).
