Falcon Gymnasts Tumble Fifth at Oregon State

Corvallis, Or. (Mar. 17) – Jamie Lanz accumulated 39.525 points to win the all-around and help Oregon State defeat the other four competing teams in a women’s gymnastics meet Friday night at Gill Coliseum.

Led by Lanz, the Beavers scored 196.550 in the victory over Kentucky (196.100), Boise State (194.550), Washington (193.675) and Seattle Pacific (190.750).

Lanz also tied for first on beam with the Huskies’ Kelly McDonald (9.900) and was second on vault (9.900) and floor (9.925). Kentucky’s Krystle Cook won vault (9.925) and bars (9.875), while Washington’s Tasha Smith took floor (9.950).

McDonald finished second in the all-around with 39.325 points, followed by the Wildcats' Rachel Riley (39.100).

The Falcons’ Jaynie Reynolds (Sr., White Rock, BC) scored a career-high 38.825 to finish sixth in the meet.

Seattle Pacific (5-14) completed its regular season with the meet, and will now prepare for the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships Mar. 24.
