SEATTLE (Mar. 14) ­Seattle Pacific University center Brittney Kroon was selected as the Great Northwest Athletic Conference women's basketball player of the week.

Kroon (Sr., 6-4, Wasilla, Ak.) scored 41 points, including a career-high 20 in a 70-50 upset of Western Washington in the semifinal of the NCAA West Regional. She also had 24 rebounds, five steals and four blocks. Kroon was named to the all-tournament team.

The Falcons, who fell to Chico State in the regional title game, finished the season with a record of 24-6.
