SEATTLE (Mar. 13) Teona Perkins of
Seattle Pacific University was named the Great Northwest Athletic
Conference women's track and field athlete of the week after
earning All-America status at the NCAA Division II indoor
championships.
Perkins (Jr., Kennewick, WA) placed sixth in
the NCAA high jump (5-7 3/4), tying for the same height as the
second place finisher. She also finished 14th in the 800 meters in
a time of 2:16.36.
SPU competes outdoors at the Washington Preview
meet Saturday at Husky Stadium.
