Day One Recap

SEATTLE (Mar. 11) ­Seattle Pacific University's Amy Harris finished tied for 10th in the pole vault at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday.

Harris (Sr., Corvallis, Or./Crescent Valley) cleared 11 feet, 11¾ inches along with five others, but she lost a tiebreaker, based on fewer misses. Angie Aguilar of Abilene Christian took first at 12-11½.

Seattle Pacific placed 38th overall with three points, all coming from a sixth-place finish by Teona Perkins in the high jump. Lincoln (Mo.) was the team champion with 87 points.
