SEATTLE (Mar. 1) Seattle Pacific
University finds itself in a battle for the home court advantage
in the NCAA Division II West Regional men's basketball tournament,
and the outcome may not be settled until the final buzzer of the
regular season Saturday night.
The Falcons trail Western Washington for the
region's No. 1 seed going into the final games of the regular
season.
SPU (21-5) visits Northwest Nazarene Saturday
night while the Vikings finish with games at Alaska Fairbanks
Thursday and Alaska Anchorage Saturday.
With a victory by Seattle Pacific and one loss
by WWU, the Falcons would earn at least a share of the Great
Northwest Athletic Conference crown and perhaps go to the top of
the region. The NCAA bracket will be announced Sunday night.
The West Regional has been held in Brougham
Pavilion twice before, most recently in 2000.
West Region - 2. Seattle Pacific

19-6; 4. Chaminade 17-8; 5. Alaska Anchorage 18-10; 6. Sonoma
State 16-8; 7. Humboldt State 15-9; 8. Central Washington 14-11;
